Oral Communications

Oral Communications are the central element of the Symposium. It is necessary to indicate some basic guidelines so that they can be conducted efficiently and in a highly productive manner.

In this regard, Oral Communications at the ISMS will be exclusively in English. For EOF, SIQUIMAR, and BAMAR, presentations in English are preferred, although Spanish is also accepted. The duration of the presentations is 15 minutes, and speakers are urged to adjust their presentation time to 12 minutes, thus leaving a reasonable amount of time for questions and comments from attendees. The language of the slides will be English.

Each session will have a moderator responsible for indicating to the speaker the remaining time and when their presentation time has concluded. The moderator will also facilitate questions or comments from the audience.

Posters

The posters will be displayed in the space assigned to them for the three days of the congress. Their dimensions must not exceed 90 cm in width and 120 cm in height. At least one of the poster’s authors must be present next to the poster during the Poster Session each day.

The language of the posters will be exclusively English for all events (ISMS, EOF, SIQUIMAR, BAMAR). In addition, any graphical material associated with the presentations, whether PowerPoint (PPT) presentations or posters, is also expected to be in English.

NOTICE: Communications accepted as “Poster” must be printed, transported, and installed by the presenting author or a designated representative, in accordance with the instructions and location that will be provided in due course. In this 2026 edition, there will be no poster printing service.

Abstract templates

Please download the template from the list you will find below to write your abstract (download and complete only the template for the conference to which you wish to submit the abstract):

Guidelines for abstract submission

  • This template must be submitted in full before May 17 to facilitate the Scientific Committee’s selection of contributions. Please read carefully the instructions provided within the template itself.
  • Very important: name the abstract as follows: surname+first name author_abstract_poster/oral depending on your choice. The language of the abstract may be Spanish or English, indistinctly.
  • Once the template has been completed, you must fill in the form that appears in a new window after clicking the “Submit Communications” button and then “New abstract.” Attach the file in the “Attachments” field. It is very important to select the conference to which the abstract is addressed in the “Conference” field. After completing the form and attaching the file, press the “Submit abstract” button.
  • A maximum of 2 abstracts may be submitted per event, that is: 2 abstracts to ISMS, 2 abstracts to EOF, 2 abstracts to SIQUIMAR, and 2 abstracts to BAMAR. If you wish to submit more, you must pay an additional registration fee.
